Domain Name Registration

Use the tool below to check domain name availability.

What is a domain name?

Your domain name is your online identity. A domain name is usually something like "yourcompany.com". However you can also have a keyword rich domain name. Properly chosen domain names can yield powerful results in your internet marketing efforts. Before you can buy/register a domain name, you must make sure nobody else has already registered the name you want. Just because a website doesn't load when you type that domain name in a browser, it doesn't mean someone already doesn't already own it.

Check domain name availability!

Use the tool below to check if your desired domain name is already taken. If someone already purchased the name, it will show up as "Taken". If it shows as "Available", you may contact us to register it for you.

Domain name rates are:

  • $29.95/yr for a 1 year term.
  • $24.95/yr to reserve it for 3 years.
  • $19.95/yr to reserve it for 5 years.
  • $18.95/yr to reserve it for 9 years.

Domain Name Extensions

The most common domain name extension is .com. However there are many more extensions you can use. Some of the most popular ones are shown below:

.com

.net

.biz

.gov

.edu

.info

.name

.org

.tv

.me

.cc

.fm

.am

.co

.pro

.eu

.ca

Here at WebTek, we also use the .cc extension (WebTek.cc), in addition to our main WebTekcc.com. In case you are wondering, WebTek.com was registered by someone else back in 1995, several years before we came on the scene.

Multiple Domains for Maximum Exposure!

Even if you already have your main domain name established, you should consider adding more domain names to your online arsenal. There are several reasons to obtain more domain names. For instance, a branded domain name might be best to use in your offline promotional materials, but a keyword-rich domain name might be the best domain name to use for search engines. Both can load your website.

Search engines like an aged domain name, so if you don’t have a need for additional domain names now, register a few for possible needs down the road. You might want to build mini-sites using different domain names for niche services or specific geographical locations… or you might just want to keep competition from buying keyword-rich domain names.
