Email on iPhones/IOS Devices
Having trouble setting up your email on your iPad or iPhone?

To setup your iPhone/iPad to use email, you must already have the email account created in your Control Panel. You will need the following information when following the step by step instructions below. The video above will also be of help.
Required Information
- Username: user@yourdomain.com (your full email address)
- Password: use whatever password you were assigned
- Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name)
- Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name)
- Authentication: The outgoing mail server will require password authentication to send mail. The incoming does not.
Getting Started
- Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account
- Select “Other”
- Click Add Mail Account
- Name: Enter your name
- Email: Enter your full email address
- Password: Enter your password
- Description: Give a short description to this email account
- Click Next
- Choose IMAP (syncs better), unless you prefer the traditional POP type.
Incoming Mail Settings
- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- Username: Enter your FULL email address
- Password: Should already have your password there
Outgoing Mail Settings
- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- Username: Enter your full email address
- Password: Enter your password again
- Click Next
- You’ll may get Verify Server Identity warnings, just hit continue until they go away.
- Click Save
Troubleshooting / Additional Notes
To troubleshoot/edit/check settings, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars … and click on the account you want to check. The most common settings in addition to what is covered above are shown below:
Outgoing Mail Server Settings
- Use SSL should be turned on
- Authentication is set to password
- Server Port: 465 (or 587 should work too)
Advanced Settings
- Incoming Settings – Use SSL should be turned on
- Incoming Settings – Authentication is set to password
- Incoming Settings – IMAP Prefix – leave empty
- Incoming Settings – Server Port: 993
